| Any help on this topic would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
We have a built a mobile solution for a client by using MS SQL Merge
Replication to MS SQL CE.
The replication is done everytime the user syncs his Pocket PC device
through ActiveSync with one of 250 desktops across the country. When
ActiveSync starts and connects the mobile device to the desktop, we
kick off a custom process that starts the replication on the mobile
device. The back end MS SQL database is located in a central, IP
accessible location. This architecture worked flawlessly until we
found out our client has Norton Internet Security installed on most of
these 250 desktops.
We now get an error when attempting the merge of "Header information is
either missing or corrupt". If we turn off Norton Security, everything
works just fine. Problem is, our client doesn't want to turn off
Norton. We've tried enabling ports, enabling programs (i.e. ActiveSync
and our custom programs) to no avail.
Any ideas?
