Author solution for "Saving maintenance plan failed"

Hi All,

Just thougt I'd post this here, I saw some people with this problem, but no
solution.
I had a problem in SQL server 2005 where any SSIS tasks submitted
(maintenance plan, copy database) gave me this error:

Saving maintenance plan failed
One or more arguments are invalid

The jobs were present, but the subsequent tasks wer not.
What I ended up doing was (re)installing SP1 for SQL2005. I was pretty sure
SP1 was installed, but I ran the installation (again?) and from then on the
error was gone and packages saved normally.
The only other solution I found online was that the sa account that executed
the task could have an empty password, and it needed to have one, but this
wasn't the case in my case.
Hopefully anyone with this problem will find this solution here/online.

thanks.
Erik
