Is anyone aware of third party tools that will analyze sql statements/scripts
and suggestion alternative methods of writing it similar to the Quest
product? I've found a few but they are not for MSSQL.

Charlie.

Hi Charlie,

I have searched in google.com and cannot find any third party tools on this
aspect neither. Let's wait to see whether other community could share their
experience here.

Looks like Microsoft should work on a solution/tool since Quest is the
only player in the game apparently.

Hi Charlie,

Quest's tool is the only one that I'm aware of. (Quest is my employer,
btw.) Symantec and Embarcadero have some performance tuning products, but I
don't think they include tuning recommendations for specific SQL statements
like Quest's SQL Tuning does. Hope this helps,
