Thiis really ticking me off.....

How the heck do you get the SQL-DMO sample code installed from the 2005
installer? I have performed both full server and workstation installs
with every option checked. According to BOL, under the topic "SQLDMO
Samples", it says:

====================
====================
=====
To install the samples during SQL Server installation
On the Setup Type page, select Custom.

On the Select Components page, under Components, select Code Samples.

Samples are installed as a self-extracting file. To extract the
samples, double-click Unzip_sqldmo.exe, located at C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Devt
ools\Samples\Sqldmo.

However, I have no DevTools subdirectory. No matter what rinstaller I
run, I still get no such directory. Anbd, I've never seen the "Setup
Type" page referenced above.
I've tried to install it on a server install, and a workstation (client
tools) install.

ANy help wpould be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft SQL Server Setup

None of the selected features can be installed or upgraded. Setup
cannot proceed since no effective change is being made to the machine.
To continue, click Back and then select features to install. To exit
SQL Server Setup, click Cancel.
