After running the setup.exe listed below from a DOS prompt for MSDE, any time
I boot or re-boot my PC the SQL Server Service Manager is empty. I have to
enter GIBBY\VSDOTNET in the server field every time. I have the
"Automatically start service when OS starts" option checked. I am very new
to SQL and VB.NET, and I would appreciate any help I can get knowing if I
need to do more during the setup process or whatever in as much step by step
detail as possible.

I am running Win XP Pro (SP1). I don't know if more infor is needed.

At the command prompt I type:

Setup.exe /qb+ INSTANCENAME=VSDOTNE
T DISABLENETWORKPROTOC
OLS=1 SAPWD=beammeup
