i recently installed a program that uses msde/sql. how can i connect to my
sql server? i get a prompt that no service has been selected, where do i
select the service?

You can connect to MSDE with any application or program that can connect to
an ODBC data source.

Where (what program) do you get the "no service hs been selected" prompt?
