| I had the following request given to me by my boss and am coming up
empty on finding an application or script that will do this for us any
help would be very appreciated:
"I would like you to research if extracting the documentation from a
DTS package is possible. Basically looking for something that will get
all comments within a DTS package to a word doc or something like this.
On the same note can you see a way / tool to extract all DTS code from
a package?
It would be nice for it to extract all steps and what it does - for
documentation and also for search capabilities."
Thanks,
MCL

| see our replies to your eMail.
Comments are out but the rest of the object model is fair game to be used
from your favourite programming language.

| Never seen that one before and never used it but it certainly looks like it
may do the job from the description it gives.

| New one on me too. Shame about the bug, Windows security does not work.
Still doesn't do comments/annotations as per Leslie's requirements.

| Thanks to everyone, I got the emails and felt a little discouraged but
this DTS Documentation program seems like it's atleast a start in the
right direction. I have an email into the tech support about the Win
Auth bug. Thanks to everyone for helping out with this.
