Author Problems connecting to a Paradox database with password protected tables

Hello,

I'm using SQL Server 2000 sp4.

I'm trying to make a connection to a Paradox database throught a Paradox 5.X
driver. If I don't enter the password I'm allowed to work with tables
without password but when I try to access to a protected table I get an
error saying that the JET Engine cannot decipher the file. That's absolutely
normal.

But when I write a password in the connection window I get the following
error:

Error Source: Microsoft JET Database Engine
Error Description: Cannot start your application. The workgroup information
file
is missing or opened exclusively by another user.

I've already tried a connection with ODBC but then when I try to open a
Transformation Data Task I get the error:

HResult of 0x80040e21 (-2147217887) returned. Unexpected error ocurred. An
error result was returned without an error message.

Then sometime I still can work, but some things doesn't work properly.

Hoping someone could help me with this problem...

Thanks.
