Author Can't get destination column list for destination files

I try to export a table with 86 columns to a coma delimited file but
when trying to define the destination columns in the Transform Data
Task Properties dialog box when clicking on define columns button SQL
server crash a close immediatly.
Why does this operation crash and how is it possible to do that in the
designer?

I tried with the Wizard to create a similar package with success. The
creation of the package was possible using this way but i have to add
some other transformation to the same package and i need to use the DTS
designer to do it.

Do someone have any workaround or solution to this issue?

Thanks a lot for any help

Eric

Have you recently upgraded to SP3? The designer crashing in this way
was introduced in SP3 but was fixed by subsequent service packs and
hotfixes

Hi Allan,

Yes you are right I updated very recently to SP3a but I got the same
issue before the update that's why i 've done it , expecting that it
would solve my issue. Could you please tell me if the update to do now
is a simple hotfix or a new service pack.

Thanks a lot for your help

There is now an SP4 for SQL Server 2000. After testing your systems I
would upgrade to that.

This is the issue and it lists he hotfixes pre SP4 that address it.
