Author Comparing DTS and SSIS

Hello all,

I was wondering how similar DTS is to SSIS. I don't know if we will
be upgrading to 2005 any time soon, but it would be nice to know ahead
of time if I will have to learn a whole new system. I'm still pretty
green at DTS, but learning some new things here and there. Will all
of my knowledge of DTS be useful for SSIS if/when we upgrade?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

Conan Kelly

Hello Conan Kelly" CTBarbarin at msn dot com,

SSIS is very very different to DTS. It is much much better as well but it
does require a different mind set

And he will also get used to modifying his package from within Visual Studio
(a part called Sql Server business intelligence Studio) rather than from
within Sql Server Management itself.
