Simple integration packages that run fine on my client PC fail to run on the
server after deployment. I get an error "product level is insufficient for
component DataReader Source...". The server in question is SQL 2005 Ent
Edition, running on Windows Server 2003; and the same package designed on the
server runs fine after delpoyment. I'm convinced this is a client issue. I
have uninstalled, and reinstalled my client applications, with the same
result. At one time I did have a trial version of Visual Studio 2005
installed, and suspect there is a registry entry that may be at the root of
my problem. I also am using SourceSafe 2005. I need to get these packages
deployed, so any assistance is welcome!

Hi IanM,

Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup Support.

Would you please post your steps here for me to narrow down the issue?
Also, you may provide some detail information:
1. What's the exactly error message?
2. Is your SQL 2005 a RTM version?
3. Does all the integration package you designed in your client PC can not
work after deploy to the server? What's the error message if it's true?

Please let me know the result so that I can provide further assistance.

1. Created a simple package in BI Studio, comprised of a Data Reader Source,
and the SQL 2005 server as the target. On the client PC, the package runs
fine and moves data withut any poblem.
2. Deployed using either running the manifest file, by running the dtsx file
in the bin folder, or by importing the package on the server end (tried all 3)
3. When executing the package on the server (which is an RTM Enterprise
version), During the data flow validation phase, I recieve: "Error: The
product level is insufficient for component "DataReader Source" (31)."
4. The next line returns that the Task Data Flow has failed.

Creating the same package on the server, and deploying, runs fine, without
error. I am using the same source bits to install my local PC version of BI
Studio.

Hi IanM,

Thanks for the update.

Firstly, please check if the SSIS tools are installed but the full SSIS
runtime is not installed, install the full SSIS runtime in your server.

Secondly, would you please provide some detail information in the previous
post I asked?

Does all the integration package you designed in your client PC can not
work after deploy to the server?
