Hi,
We have a web application that connects to Reporting Server programmatically
via the Web Service by passing credentials (not URL access), impersonating a
user who does have rights. It works fine in the development environment
where the web server and report server are on different machines. But on Stage
environment where the report server and web server are on the same machine it
fails with the following error:
The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized
Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,
I figured that the problem is not webserver and reportserver being on the
same machine. Because the report server works fine for 10 minutes after
Rebooting. After 10 mins the problem continues.

Any ideas please?

Are you using 2003 server and applied SP1? If so, the following solution may
solve your problem. (I had same problem and this solved)
"create a DWORD entry called DisableLoopbackCheck
to
HKLM\System\CurrentC
ontrolSet\Control\Ls
a. Set this key to a value of 1"

This is an issue which occures after appling SP1 to 2003 server.

I hope, this helps.
