The query could not be processed:
o Memory error: While attempting to store a string, a string was larger than
the page size selected. The operation cannot be completed.

Any idea what this is about and how to fix it?

This is a known bug in the September CTP. I didn't find a workaround so
installed a newer version...

It is fixed in the RTM bits which are now available for downloading from
MSDN.

We are running SQL 2005 Enterprise RTM (32 bit).

I am getting the following very similar error:

"Memory error: While attempting to store a string, a string was found
that was larger than the page size selected. The operation cannot be
completed."

I get this only on one cube via a particular client on a different
machine from the one running SQL2005.

The client machine likely has pre-RTM bits of AS2005 client components.
You'll need to update the MSOLAP.3 OLE DB provider on it - you can find the
package here (look for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE
DB Provider):

Installing the latest Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0
OLE
DB Provider on the client fixed the problem for me.

Thanks Raman.
