So we AS 2000 we have a limit of 64K distinct children in a dimension level -
what is the new limit in SSAS 2005 64-bit?

near nothing!!!

the new dimension system allow near unlimited members for an attribute..

Actually the limit is 2**32 or roughly 2 billion. Just about all of the
limits in AS2K have been raised to 32-bit signed integers. So for all
intended purposes it is unlimited.
