Dear all,

I have a problem in registering msolap90.dll in the client machine. Since AS
2005 is installed in my computer, I copied msolap90.dll to client machine and
tried to register it by running this command

regsvr32 "c:\program files\common files\system\ole db\msolap90.dll"

However, error message was prompted out and written that there was problem
in program setting. Does anyone have any comment on this issue? Thanks!

Polly,

Obviously you shouldn't be forced to manually register the OLEDB
provider, but I also tried this in desperation (with the same result)
when I had trouble accessing AS2005 cubes from Excel 2003.

What worked for me was re-installing the Analysis Services 9.0 OLEDB
provider from the "Feature Pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -
November 2005", see link below.

Hope this helps.
