AS2005 security / visibility...

| Hi,
I have an AS2005 model with a lot of attributes.
its great... but... my users access my cube through the pivottable...
and the OWC11 doesn't display the dimensions with the folders etc...
so the user see each attribuite has a dimension... so the list of dimension
is big!!!!
I want to keep only the hierarchies defined in the dimensions and not all
attributes.
in another hand, my users can create a report using report builder, in this
case the access to all the attributes is required.
and for future usage, I want to keep my complete model.
So... I want to know if its possible to "hide" some attributes using a role?
I can disallow the access of an entire dimension or members in an attribute.
But I can't simply hide an attibute and keep only the hierarchies.
thanks for your help and ideas
Jerome.

| I think 'Perspectives' (see BOL for more details) should do what you want -
they allow you to selectively hide hierarchies, dimensions, measures etc
without the overhead of security.
