Dimension expansion in PTS

| I am using AS 2000 and have a cube built from a fact table containing a
little over 6 million rows. We use the PTS over our intranet to access the
cube. The cube has 7 dimensions - 5 of which have one level. The time
dimension has 3 levels (Year, Month, Week) and the Category dimension has 7
levels:
Category 5 members
Dept 86 members
Class 307 members
Style 2384 members
Color 453 members (each Style usually only has 5 or 6 colors)
Dimension 32 members
I am trying to filter on 1 of the categories it has:
Dept 16 members
Class 89 members
Style 1970 members
Color 372 members
I have Time on columns, expanded to Month. I have the Category dimension on
rows and would like to expand down to the Color level for 1 measure (not
calculated). It is okay through Style, but hangs, then eventually shuts down
the web page when I try to expand to the next level.
How should I change the design and/or aggregations in order to get this to
work?

| I found out that this worked before. The only change has been an upgrade to
SP4.
