Filtering out weekend days in a datediff

I need to create a calculated measure that will show the number of days
between when a submission was created and when it was closed. I've used the
DateDiff from the VBA library to accomplish this because we had reqs. that
called for all calendar days. However, these reqs. were changed so that
days falling on the weekend should not count in the calculation. What are
some strategies for tackling this problem?

I'm using AS 2000.

I have an idea for this in my head, but seeing your current code would
help me put it into your context. You mind posting what you are using
now?
