Posts to SQLXML virtual directory error after Windows updates

After windows updates were installed on around 14th October, updategrams and
templates posted using xmlHttp from IE to an sqlxml virtual directory fail
with the following error:

"Query not specified"

This only affects posts directly to the virtual directory. Executing a
server-side temple works fine.

This problem occurred for all developers on the team (it was not an isolated
incident), and removing the updates fixed the issue.

Is anyone else having this problem?
