| I upgraded to 2.6 and not I can't open my project files. I get the error "Access Denied: C:\... dBLCore\ProjExp\proj
exp.ini" File: ProjExp.wfo Routine: ProjExpForm::Refresh
ini
What can I do to fix this?

Not sure if it will work, but check if Projexp.ini is readonly. If so,
remove that attribute.

| After doing a search I find that there's no projexp.ini on my hard drive. It calls for it in ProjExp.wfo line 8749, but it is not there. Do you know how/where I can get this necessary file? BTW thanks for the very quick response! :)

| the default location should be
C:\Program Files\dBASE\PLUS\BIN
\dBLCore\ProjExp\
the first part "C:\Program Files\dBASE\PLUS\" is your install folder and may
be different, the " \BIN\dBLCore\ProjExp
" is consistent, the projexp.ini
should be in there someplace.

| Yes it is there. It was set for read only and I unchecked that box, but I still get the same error: Access Denied. What can I do to get access to it?

| Oh, that. Yes I had to try a couple of times too before it stuck.
Try re-booting your system and start from scratch. First thing (before
running dBase or anything else) go in starting at "My Computer", navigate
down to the file, turn off the flag and press "Apply" before pressing "OK".
Close the window, and start from "My Computer" again and make sure it is
still off.
Sometimes turning off the flag and pressing OK, doesn't save the changes. I
don't know why, but I think it has to do with the various caches (O/S and
Hardware) not finishing the job.

| I got the ProjExp.ini working, now it is saying that the explorer.dll is missing completely. I checked the same directory and it is not there. Any ideas?

| Uncle. You've got me on that one. Explorer.dll should be in the same spot.
I don't know if Explorer.dll is a 2.5 or a 2.6 component (I have the 2.5
install and the 2.6 patch) If you have 2.6 as a full install, then try
un-install/re-install. If you have 2.5 and 2.6 as a patch, you might have to
re-do both of them.

| It's from the patch, and it won't let me reinstall it. When I attempted to it told me that I have the latest version and stops there. I could reinstall 2.5 then the patch or maybe a call to tech support...

| Problem solved. I got the ini file to work, but somehow was missing the explorer.dll file. I called tech support and they e-mailed me the file and everything works fine. Thanks for all your help.
