How can I read a dbk file?
|
|
|
| I can't restore my .dbk file which is coming up as a dBase backup file. It's for my Dell handheld. I want to open it to read the info. It doesn't necessarily have to be restored to my handheld. Any programs that will crack it?

Perhaps it's a proprietary format - it is a backup file but it might not be
dBASE. I did find some references to the dbk Dell backup files at:
http://pocketpc.pdablast.com/articl...OM-Updates.html
If you have not updated the ROM files, the dbk file extension is not
associated with the Data Backup program. So I would update the ROM files
(like a BIOS update, I guess) and try it again on your handheld, which
should then recognize it.
Thank you

| Try renaming it .dbf
