| Hi,
yesterday I decided to explore the security aspect of dBASE
I went to File/ Data Admin / Security
I defined a group / a user / a password
but obviously from now on I have to enter those each time I log to dBASE
How can I "Delete" that security as I'm still in development and want to adress the security features later when my software is more stabilized
Thanks for help
Michel

adress the security features later when my software is more stabilized
Click the "Security..." button and click on the "Enforcement" tab.
Select the "Opening an Encrypted Table" radio button, instead of the
"Loading dBASE Plus" option. If you have no encrypted tables (check on
"Tables" tab), then the security system will not bother you anymore.
But be sure to keep your admin password written down somewhere for future
reference!
I have a vague recollection from the distant past about how to remove the
admin password, but someone else may have to refresh my memory. I can't
recall. Luckily, I've written my password down, in case I need an encrypted
table someday.
Good luck
