In the default editor used by "modify command", how can one reach a line by its number ? Or is it possible to use the former editor of dbIV which was much more practical ?

CTRL-G and enter the line number and press Enter.

CTRL+G.

See also menu Edit > Search ... (when the editor is open).

Thanks to both.
Otherwise, any way to change the editor (for instance the old DBIV one) ?

Enter this in the command window:

Help SET EDITOR

You can also enter the name of your editor in the ini file, section
& #91;CommandSettings]
.
EDITOR=
