I am looking into the technical feasibility of launching the above conversion.
Will it be smooth port or can I expect lots of code and/or data conversion issues?

It will take some effort, especially if you used the object model in
dBASE 5 for DOS, because it's not really compatible with the Windows
versions. I don't recall that the conversion utilities address these issues.

I am wondering whether converting DOS Dbase applications into exe programs through the DBase compiler delivered with DOS versions would work under Windows OS. This might be an easy way to keep ones old applications working without rebuilding the whole wor
k.
