| Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong group, but i could not find that really fits my problem.
I have an application developed in Visual Dbase. Its supposed to run on a windows 2003 server, however, when I click/run the icon nothing appears to happen. The task manager only briefly displays plusrun or the application name, then it disappears. I h
ave tested this on another 2003 server and it works fine, so it must be something local to the server, however as best I can tell both servers appear to be the same, both are member servers, they are using local user accounts, both are using administrator
accounts.
It's causing me much grief, I would greatly appreciate it if someone has some pointers that I could look at.
Cheer and thanks in advance

| Look in the dbase.bug-report newsgroup. The topic is DEP and was posted on
February 28th 2006 by Bowen Moursund.
Same basic problem.
"My dBase web app stopped working after my Windows 2003 server was updated
to service pack 1 over the weekend. The culprit was a new security feature
called Data Execution Protection or DEP. You can read about DEP at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352."
The solutions are also there too. You can either turn off DEP or (if you're
feeling adventurous) put plusrun on the DEP "white list"
