When I open dBase 2.5, I have numerious "Alert: File does not exist, etc." messages that I must click "OK" to clear in order to have access to Navigator and/or the Command wnd. I'm sure the problem is a Windows one and the messages can be eliminated from
a Windows wizzard since I was once told how to do this by a dB technition somewhere in Ca, but I can't remember the procedure. I sure would appreciate a helping hand by one the Windows experts out there. I'm a CPM foggie, myself.

Thanks a bunch

Sounds like your Custom Components list is whacko or maybe the files have
been moved - we're talking about a list of .CC files (and more) that are
kept by dB2K, and I'm pretty sure it the same or similar in DB +.

Write down the files that are missing and compare with the below list you'll
find.

Open up any form, then select:

FILE | Set Up Custom Components

Check out the entries and their locations. "Should be" a rather simple fix.

Two suggestions.

First, as Mike suggests, make a note of the files it's looking for.
Close dBase, then look at the .ini file for dBase 2.5 using Notepad.
Delete the references that you find.

Or, just delete the .ini file and let dBase create a new one for you.
