| I created a setup for my application.
First, the runtime installer available on dBase site is version b1807 and my
dBase version is 2.5 build 1804. I know it work anyway but when I create the
script file, dBase keep putting version 1804 for the runtime installer. I
have to manually change it in the script everytime I want to recompile and I
had to change it in the runtime.txt file too.
Is there a way we could change it in the default file used to create the
inno script ? What and where is that default file ?
Secundo, in the script, I choose to create a desktop icon for the
application and no icon appear. Yes I tried the option for all users and for
the current user with no luck.
Sorry but tercio, in dBase project explorer, while saving the script, all
specials caracters like copyright one's are changed for other caracters like
underscore or other specials caracters. Again, I have the change them
manually, cause you have three of them in the script, each time before
compiling.
Do any one have a clue ?

Get the patch for dBASE Plus to bring you up to 1807?

| Then from where in the download area can I get it ?
There's a patch there but doesn't upgrade me to version 1807.

I know I downloaded it from the dBASE website, but don't see it ...
Ah. Try the "Support" menu, and "Updates and Fixes" ... it's there.

In the next version of the Project Explorer, the user will have the option
to choose which runtime file to use (QAID: 5114).

This has been fixed for the next version (QAID: 5254).

As far as I know, this has also been fixed in the next version.

Did you run it? That seems like a silly question, but ... make sure you
aren't running dBASE at all. Run the patch. It should update it to 1807.
If not, I have no clue, and you'll need to talk to dBASE R&D folk.

| Are you telling me that you applied that patch and that it shows b1807 as
version ?
I did test it directly from the dbase plus bin directory to be sure and
?Version(0) keep telling me that I have version 1804.
On the site they are talking about something regarding connecting to a
database error but nothing about upgrade to 1807

It should, that's what I ran to upgrade to 1807. I realize it doesn't
give the number on the site, but that is what is supposed to do the upgrade.

| Hi Martin & Ken...
I get the same result as Martin, still build 1804. But the patch did fix the
"Attempt to connect to an unlicensed database type." error as it should (I
got that error when I tried to connect to a MS SQL Server...) So it seems to
do what it is supposed to do, but no upgrade...
I had to make a copy of the runtime (the "PlusRuntime-b1807_EN.exe"), rename
it to "PlusRuntime-b1804_EN.exe" and put it in the directory where Inno
assumed it should be (i.e. not where it was installed...)

| Good idea. What about the caracters like the copyright one ? Do you have the
same problem as me ?
When compiled, the inno script show anything but copyright caracter.

Check with Jonny K. on that. He's the one responsible for some of this.
