Author Runtime Version Conflict

I built an .exe with my current project to test it out. I am getting an
error that says "Runtime Version Conflict. .EXE must be rebuilt with
current version". What causes this error? I am running dBase 2.6 and have
never used dbase before now, so have no previous versions installed. Thanks
for any help.
