About PE / Scripmaker / Inno

| I'm trying to work with inno using the PE.
I have under the DEO tab declared some DEO subfolders like source, reports
etc.
these subfolders need at the end to be copied into
C:\Program Files\DEO myapp7.01 DB2.61.1\Source
C:\Program Files\DEO myapp7.01 DB2.61.1\Report
etc till 5 of these folders.
Why don't I see them in the Inno Script? I assume that this should be done
by a automatisme in the PE or Scripmaker isn't?
I managed to create a setup file, but all the diverent compiled DEO files
are coming into the main directory wich has the name of the projectname wich
I created in the PE.
If it so that I have to see the projectname as main deo subfolder wich is
directly under Program Files, well then I must say thats very confusing <g>
And when, in that case, the created DEO folders via the PE are not used,
then atleast I would expect a error mesage, Oder/or not??
If so, cause I dont know. would like an answer here
Appart from that I think I saw something that the appname in PE/ INNO is the
folder wherin
the files (.dbf, .mdx) are located and must be found by the BDE alias name
This I find confusing to, cause appname stands for me for ApplicationName
and that has nothing
to do with the database/data folder. If you had called eg aliasfolder I would
have understand it immediately
Sorry its the way I see it.
BTW, should it not be good idea to make a more simpel install program for
the normal use
without all these facilities one normaly/mostly does not use.
This again is a bush with so many trees that I hardly can find that little
green field in the middle,
what I like to use.
You better can have programs wich are simple and when one needs more, than
give the possibillity
to deliver a patch/module with more functions.
I know this is not comparable with windows wich is also loaded with things I
even't want to know what it is, but this PE / INNO / Scriptmaker has, in a
smaller way, the same effect.
And actually that goes for dBASE to. One should make a basicmodule and
extension modules with certain functions who can work together, whereof a
customer can make his choice/needs
(yes I know about dQuery but thats to me a totaly diverent program)
I always have to smile a little when I see this huge list of language
commands of dBASE
Very good of course, but looking to myself, there is comparing with that big
list not much I use from all these commands.
Sorry, I had to write this of of my chest it makes me mad (chagrin) this
looking/trying on and on
and searching in much to big help files and not finding or understanding
what to do.
Its simply is not clear enough!
Anyway as always, Best regards to all of you
