Why is it that when I try and run DBase IV in Windows XP Proffesional I can't get it to go full screen? Is there anything I can do to make it full screen?

Have you tried Alt + Enter?

Because Windows wants to get rid of DOS???

It's been a long time, but I seem to remember there's a way to define
the window size in the .pif??

I just created a shortcut to a DOS program and there's a
"Compatibility" tab in the properties that has a checkbox for running
the program in 640x480 resolution. Perhaps checking that might help.

This works for me with dB3 and 5.
Right click on the .pif file and select properties.
Go through the tabs and make sure the following are clicked/checked.
Screen usage - full screen.
Window - restore settings.
Run - normal window

You can't get it to full screen? I can't get it NOT to.
Try running the EXE right from the dBase folder, don't use the .pif or a
shortcut. That's how I do it with the dBase V from the CD and it always
goes full screen.

If you right-click on the shortcut icon to dBase IV and then select
Properties there are two places that one can set the way dBase appears on
the screen. On the Program tab is the option of Normal window, Maximised
or Minimised and on the Screen tab (or perhaps Options) there is the
choice of running in a window or full screen.

Correction: it's Alt-Enter.

Try pressing alt enter keys. This will enlarge and reduce you window.
