Author Form.print()

In the promised improved feature of dbase 2.01 to 2.5 was the following
regarding the form.print.:
QAID: 5067 - Improved Form.print() to more reliably print the image of the
form as seen on screen instead of redrawing parts of the form out of
proportion and poorly positioned on the page
-- I don't see any improvement. I still experience same problem when
printing with form.print().
The form.print in visual dbase 5.7 prints perfectly. It should be more
perfect in 2.6
any comments, please
thanks
Moses

Have you done any experimenting with the parameters, as mentioned in the
OLH?

Hi Ken
The First parameter is for displaying print dialog box and has got no
interference.
The second parameter when set to false, all controls are stretched to the
right
If the second parameter is set to true
the whole image of the form is printed even the system menu strip and the
form scroll bar and the form is centered on the output sheet, that is the
topmost control which its top is zero appears way below.
Any solutions, please, form print is vital for my applications
Thanks

I don't have any. I have never used form.print() and have never relied
it on to print anything vital for an application. Instead I have always
used the report engine, and I suggest you do the same.

If you have bugs to report, please use d.bug-reports for this purpose.

Have a look at AtSayWindow() in Vic McClung's Printer class which is
discussed briefly in an article by David Stone in dBulletin 8. You can
read this on-line (or download it) at
http://www.jpmartel.com/bulletin.htm There are also articles by Vic
McClung in dBulletin 9 and 10 on using the printer class.

You can download Vic's printer class (dbprint.exe) from
http://www.dbase.com/dBase_CodeLib.asp
