Visualdb 5.7 - Printer problem??
|
|

| Hi,
I have a customer machine which runs a compiled 5.7 program and produces the
error when the program is initiated:
"Invalid driver name or insufficient resources: winspool"
The program then terminates.
I vaguely recall having a problem with this years ago and seem to remember
that dbases checks for a default printer at start-up and if the printer name
is longer than 31 characters it stalls.
Can anyone refresh my memory of how to get around this problem?
TIA, Tony Martin

Actually, the default printer is probably the Windows fax driver. Just
change the default to a printer which prints on real paper and the dBase
will be happy.

| Thanks Marilyn. I'll give that a try.
