A have an application in dbase plus the data and form is on a server and i map a drive exemple d:\pgi\menu.exe =map drive t:\menu.exe
and to open a form is very long on network about 12 sec. and on the server is quick less than 1 sec

Do you have anti-virus software running? This can cause problems such as
double checking.

There are also some issues with user/server authentication that has nothing
to do with dBase that causes slowdowns. I haven't found much of a way
around them yet. (other that really loosening up the security on the shared
drive that you map.)
