Author shut down 'this computer may be at risk'

I don't use windows firewall (winxp). How can i get rid of the
message...this computer may be at risk from coming up every time i turn
on my computer (no, i do not want a firewall on this computer..i have my
reasons)

Go into the "control panel" and go to the "windows security center".
You should be able click on the firewall and select "I have another
firewall solution - do not monitor" or something like that. I'm not
quite sure what you click on - one of them will bring up the firewall
"which is what you don't want". You just don't want the security center
to monitor it - thats whats giving you the message.

Yes, that will work _if_ you have agree to received automatic updates and
patches for WinXP. Otherwise, that message will come back each time the
computer is turned on.

you want windows to remind you...i just said don't remind me and it works
