My personal favourite was Lutz Conrad's contribution entitled "The
dBASE-Application-Framework". Lutz presented Menusys.exe, a dBASE
application which can be used to create a dBASE MDI application featuring
dynamic menus, a dynamic toolbar and much more. The goal is to standardize
and speed up the development process. Instead of reinventing the wheel with
each new application, a new app can be created very comfortably, just by
filling in a couple of forms, selecting menu options and components (like
User Mangement, Backup/Restore, Calculator, Calendar) to be used in the new
application. An impressive demonstration of a great tool. It comes with
dozens of custom classes and components in object code which can be used in
your own applications.

| Hi Wagner,
there is a thread in the german NG about the dbkon2005.
Hans-Peter (Mister dbkon <g> ) made a lot of photos... In the past, he made
them available at the dbkon-site.
I guess he has such a lot of good material, that he needs somewhat more time
to treat them <g>. I too am looking forward to see them.
There were participants from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Texas <g>. It
was a great pleasure for me to see Jan Hoelterling again, whom i first met
in Montreal.
What i lked most about the speaches was their interactive character. Every
single contribution was a game of questions and answers and supplemental
information from the audience. Each speach blasted its time-frame, but it
was worth it.
I think the dbkon has established itself as an institution in the german
speaking dbase-world. The german distributor Paul White was present, perhaps
next year we will have other special guests ;-) (I'd love to meet Marty or
someone else from RD, together with Larry ? ...)
CU, Marc
