Are there any known issues with Service Pack 1 on Windows 2003 Server?

Thanks,
Ken

My app won't run at all. The application doesn't load any dll's or
activeX's in the opening form. The system administrator will reboot the
server tonight to see if that will resolve the issue.

Add plusrun to the allowable programs in the windows firewall, that may help.

There appear to be a lot of issues with SP1, expecially if it is
installed on the Small Business version. Suggest you search the web,
there are a lot of hits on it out there.

The bottom line is test, test, test before deploying if at all possible.

A customer of mine installed the SP so that it would correct a problem with
some other software they have.

Thanks,
Ken

I backed off the SP1 from 2003 standard edition and now all is working as before. SP1 even said that apache will have problems by
uninstalling it, but that proved false.

They rebooted the server after I uninstalled and reinstalled my app and they
don't use windows firewall and it still doesn't work.
They are now saying that this problem occurred before they installed SP1.
Anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks,
Ken

Get filemon from http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/filemon.shtml and isolate "plusrun*" (without quotes) and see what the
results are.

I ran it but I really don't know what to look for :-). I can't seem to see
what is wrong but I will see if I can compare the log from the
malfunctioning machine to the functioning one when all the users have logged
off.

Thanks,
Ken
