dbase 5.7 and XP client

| I'm currently running 5.7 on a windows 2000 server running an old application called SBT. It has been running pretty good but, we put in some XP clients and when we page through files, our dbase window terminates abnormally with no message. 98 clients do
not have the problem. Can anyone help???
thanks

What do you mean "paging thru files"? Make sure your paths are 8 characters
are less. Does your program load up before the error occurs? Some of the
problems i've seen.
1) User must have admin rights when installing the program
2) Don't install to the "c:\documents and settings\folder\fold
er\etc..."
3) Recently I found the a user that was missing the autoexec.nt file in
their c:\windows\system32 folder - that would not allow the program to load
4) Some printer drivers will cause a 5.7 program to bomb out - installing an
alternative driver usually fixes it.
Is the BDE & runtime files installed on the workstation?
Thanks
Richard

I sorry,, i wasn't clear,
dBase is running and the application is running....
The program loads records a screen at a time and you can press "F" or "B" to go forward of backward. Maybe its hitting eof of bof. I will look at that but, the window just closes.
