Occasionally in an application I get this BDE Error/message (9729 -
Key Violation) when trying to open a Progress table through ODBC. The
error box that opens during program execution just displays
[MERANT][ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]SYSTEM ERROR: Open Interface
Driver protocol error during dsqldynprep. (2577)

The code that causes the error is setting the query object's
"Active" property to True.

If I quit the application then re-enter all is well for a while...

"Key Violation" normally means there are duplicate entries in a
primary key but I am not trying to save anything or open an index...just
trying to open the table.

Any thoughts?
