Hallo,
It's not the first time I ask for the problem of the scroll of the wheel
mouse.
It seem me completely crazy that in July 2005 this problem
is not anymore solved !
I'm not able to explain to my customers why on our programs
developed with VisualDbase, and with Dbplus it don't work !!!

I don't think that the solution are OCX, special grids.. or so on.
It must work normally !!
I hope DbI will solve the problem as soon.

... In the meantime,... if someone have some idea..
ciao

Dear Angelo,
I don't know if this can help you but I was dealing with this problem
starting with XP and the dbplus 2.21.

A new PC with XP and a Microsoft Intellimouse: the scroll doesn't work.
After looking for OCX and some others, I have found the solution in the
Microsoft site: it was enough to down-grade from version 5 to 4 of the
microsoft intellimouse driver software.
Now it works normally!

Ciao
Eliseo

Thank Eliseo,

I knew this solution ( but I forgot ), and so,
... thank for remember me.

But..., but this is not the solution !!
But.., would you like to go to a customer telling
him that he has to install an exotic driver for have the
weel working with DBplus....?

It's a problem that the technicians of DBI have to solve!

In article <ob2uT7TgFHA.444@news-server>, genesi@genesigroup.it says...

Plus sometimes it is not just _so_ easy to downgrade an existing driver.
I have here another application, 3rd-party CAD package, which will just=20
not work correctly with IntelliPoint-Drivers > 4.12.

But 5.x gets installed automatically, and uninstalling/downgrading it=20
sometimes can be a real pain.

And they know about it. Some things take a lot of work, and one of these
is upgrading to a more up-to-date set of the Microsoft Foundation
Classes. 2.51 which is in the works, won't do this, but it is my
understanding that they have hired one developer whose sole purpose is
to modify the source code for dBASE Plus to do this migration. It will
take some time.

In the meantime, if you know about a way to resolve the issue (which you
do), your installation should allow you to set this up for your
customers and they don't ever have to know about the ActiveX (OCX)
control that is installed.

Thank Ken,
It's quite enough for now.
We will wait
I could image that also for them it's a boring problem.
