Author Problems with popup menu

HI All,
I have a huge problem. When my users click on popupmenu item of a form, the
apps first menuitem executes. It is weird, becuse the popup menu item is the
last item, and the main menu item that gets run is the first.
The problem is this only happens at runtime. In the IDE if I run the form,
it all works
Furthermore, My main menu has about 12 sub items for the first main menu
item. My popup has six items including a line.
I If I clik on the first popup item,. main menu item seven runs, popup two,
min menu 8.
IF I had a menu popup item, to make it seven, then the main menu itm that
get run is number eight, popup menu two, main menu 10
Add one more to the popup and, main menu that runs is shifted down byt ten
so that main menu item 11 get run.

Any help
Thanks
Robert

I do not experience this, but I am quite sure that this is a known
problem to _certain_ dBase-Versions. Don't know whether this is
fixed meanwhile, though.
If you don't have the latest version of dBase, I recommend reading
the "patches and enhancements" (or however they are called...) for
the versions coming after yours.

Hi Robert,

This is a known bug.

Somebody had recommended to have as the first menu a dummy that gets
released; I was not able to validate whether that's a valid workaround for
the popupmenu or not. I ended up writing myself a custom popupmenu class
(because there is (was?) an issue with disabled items in a popupmenu not
being disabled). Drop me an email at jan nospam at hoelterling period com
and I'll send you the class.

Jan
