(Plus 2.6)
I have a grid where it would be desirable to have the first three
columns remain visible while the user scrolls the grid to the right. In
Clipper and Excel this is called a Frozen Column.

I defined the third column in the grid as the frozen column but I can't
tell what it does (I have RowSelect and Multi-Select set to True) , and
I can't understand what it says in the On Line Help.

Can anyone explain?

Frozen column is the column that focus remains frozen in, the user can
only enter data in the frozen column.

I think you want to try lockcolumn (name?)

You're welcome, Paul.

Not too obvious, I get confused over the two myself ;-)
