Author Hello: anybody working with Recital database Server?

I wonder if anybody here has tried to connect dBase (or dQuery) to a Recital
Database Server, or if anybody knows if it appears feasible.
This is the link to an article from Recital:
http://www.recital.com/index.htm?/a...e.htm&mainFrame

It seems promising lot of things, and they say it is compatible with almost
every xBase dialect around - but they don't cite "dBase" (correctly, I
presume: after all it is not a "dialect" - it is "the" language).

Anyway if anyone has tested this product it would be nice to hear its
opinion.

I'm strongly looking for a replacement for my actual xBase scripting engine
for the web (Plugsys's MAX-MSP) because it is 3 year now that Plugsys Inc.
went out of business and I begin to be worried.
While the publisher went out of business, the market request remains high,
and I keep on signing new contracts for web applications based on dead
product...

You know, I'm tryng to feel unconfortable...

Thanks to all
