| my scenario
a) notebook computer with dBPlus 2.5
XP pro 2002 SP2
MMC 2.0 ver 5.1
IIS ver. 5.1
in above local environment I'm able to use succesfully my internet
application, calling the exe from \\localhost and everything works fine
b) personal computer with dBPlus 2.6 (_yes_ 2.6)
same version of XP and MMC + IIS
originally IIS was not installed on this computer, as I can't open
\\localhost
I get thru "install application -> windows component"; it asked me for
original XP CD-R and the process was completed
So far, now I can see \\localhost and use my cgi-exe
BUT
I'm experimenting problems that I guess depends on write permission, as it
can't create temp table (_QSQL???.DBF)...
I don't think is permission just in "wwwroot" area, because one of my exe
try to delete a file placed in other dir (c:\myprog) and also in this case
it return error "denied access"
I double checked all the propriety assignment in ISS, both on a) and b)
computers and seems all is the same
even "IE properties" looks to be similar
Finally, I don't think is DBPlus version problem (2.5 vs 2.6) as I test on
different old computer (win98 and dB+2.6) and works good. This old computer
has Personal Web Server and not IIS
