I'm confused. I'm having trouble with a dbase web app using apache 2.2.3 on
a Window 2003 server. This app has be working without problems for a few
years. Recently I've been seeing random "Premature end of Script Headers"
errors in my apache error log. When this happens the response the requestor
gets is one that states the server is misconfigured.

The error log looks like this:
[Fri Nov 10 09:00:14 2006] [error] [client 172.16.12.21]
[Fri Nov 10 09:01:08 2006] [error] [client 172.16.12.21] Premature end of
script headers: review.dbw
[Fri Nov 10 09:02:02 2006] [error] [client 172.16.12.21]

It is interesting that prior to and after the Premature end of script
headers is reported there are errors without any note as to what the error
is.

If the requestor hits the refresh button on the browser after seeing the
error message, the correct response page is returned.

Things to consider are that after years of working without trouble, some
PlusRun processes began to hang on the server. In order to correct the
hanging problem I did add _app. terminateTimerInterv
al = 60000 to the app
clear and also changed the ThreadsPerChild in the apache Configuration from
250 to 50 and the MaxRequestsPerChild 0 to 50. I seems these changes have
stopped the processes from hanging but I need help to determine why the
randomly hang in the first place.

Can someone help me determine why this happens and a way to correct it?

Thanks
