when designing a report, usually when you drag a field to the detailband ,
you get every field in that rowset. As if you were a designed a long report.
I put a datamodule on my report instead of a table and when I drag a field
to the detailband, I only get one record. Why is this? I need everyfield
so I can work with every record. I need to be able to use a group to sort
the report by certain field. I can't do this with just one record. Why do I
only get one record when I drag a field to the detailband?

HI,
Two things,

Check to see that the dmd is actually not returning one record.
But most likely look in the properties of the report designer. There you
will see two radio buttons for rowset display, one row or all rows. THis is
to aid in desihning.

I'm sorry, but I don't see this option that you are referring to.

HI Bill,

When you are in design mode of your report, go to the menu, hoose
properties, then report properties, you'll see it there.
