See online docs here:
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/static/index.html
particularly
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/...stallation.html

Depending on what platform you are on, there might be RPMs or other
prebuilt packages that'd be easier to install than starting from a
source tarball.

Hi,

You can use this procedure :
http://sharengo.org/haplatform/docs...ngle/index.html

Cheers,

Jérôme,

python -c "print '@'.join(['.'.join([w[::-1] for w in p.split('.')]) for
p in 'sioneb@gnireenigne-aigra.rf'.split('@')])"

We keep binaries rpms (and srpms for those we don't) for almost all
current redhat and fedora releases. They can be found here:

ftp://ftp9.us.postgresql.org/pub/mi...nux/rpms/redhat
