Sir,

i have loaded postgres 8.0 in linux
I get the following error messg. in postmaster.log file

LOG: could not create IPv6 socket: Address family not supported by protocol
LOG: could not resolve "localhost": Name or service not known
LOG: disabling statistics collector for lack of working socket
LOG: database system was shut down at 2005-05-12 14:00:06 IST
LOG: checkpoint record is at 0/A392FC
LOG: redo record is at 0/A392FC; undo record is at 0/0; shutdown TRUE
LOG: next transaction ID: 556; next OID: 17231
LOG: database system is ready

Please advice
