The following bug has been logged online:

Bug reference: 1704
Logged by: Igor
Email address: ik@yourserveradmin.com
PostgreSQL version: NA
Operating system: OS is NA
Description: Download problems
Details:

Hello,

this problem is not related to postgresql code. It is related to your DNS
system. I (and looks like others) can't reach postgresql mirrors due to dns
problem:
# wget
ftp://ftp.us.postgresql.org/pub/mir...4.8/linux/rpms/
redhat/redhat-9/postgresql-test-7.4.8-1PGDG.i686.rpm
=> `postgresql-test-7.4.8-1PGDG.i686.rpm'
Resolving ftp.us.postgresql.org... failed: Host not found.

# host ftp.us.postgresql.org
Host ftp.us.postgresql.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

# dig us.postgresql.org
-- cut --
;; QUESTION SECTION:
;us.postgresql.org. IN A

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:

other national mirrors unavailable either. I've tried to resolve names from
3 different location (hosts are located in different countries (even at
different continets).

Please take a look at the problem, and fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks
