Author Install of 12.5 on a server

I am installing ODBC 12.5 on a server, the install says it
works and prompts for a re-boot. However, after the reboot
I don't have a ASE ODBC Driver option in the ODBC
administrator.

I have done this on other servers and it works fine. The
only log file I have found doesn't have much that I can
decifer.

Any suggestions?

Hi Drew,

What exact driver and what machine are you installing on?

Hi Drew,

I am not sure why that would not work. I have not installed 12.5 on 2003,
but it should work. DO you by any chance have the 12.5.1 SDK CDRom? There
is a much newer ODBC Driver on that as well. At this time, with current
12.5.1 releases Sybase releases that ODBC Driver (OEM version SYODASE.DLL)
and we also have a new ASE ODBC Driver built by Sybase Engineer's (Under
%SYBASE%\DataAccess\
ODBC : in dll it is sybdrvodb.dll). Install that
version.

In the meantime check the registry under HKLM\Software\ODBC\O
DBCINST.INI
and see if there is an entry for "Sybase ASE ODBC Driver".

Is this system 64 bit by any chance?
