The authenticated edition is generally provided for as an OEM deployment
option. If you are the OEM, you should use a developer version of
software or the authenticated application to manage users. If you are a
customer of a product that uses an OEM edition, your access to the ASA
database is restricted to read only (generally) if outside the OEM
application.

You can't change the authenticated version, if you are an OEM you should
have liscencing information provided to you by your sales representative.
As Chris mentioned, you can connect to the authenticated version using a
full version, or the developer edition, and then passing your authentication
parameters to the database.

You can find more information about the authenticated version of SQL
Anywhere here http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/...es/auth_ed.html

OEM is Open Ended Marketer. An OEM is a software developer (or company)
that has signed a licensing agreement with iAnywhere to embed
SQLAnywhere within their software application using an authenticated
database server. This server is licensed in such a way that only the
particular application (plus some administration tools) can have full
access to the database, other programs get read-only access.

There is no option to change.

But I'm not entirely convinced from the information in your original
post that you are using an authenticated server. Can you provide the
version and build number of SQLAnywhere that you are using (e.g. dbeng9
-v) and where you got that software?

Thanks,
greg.fenton

I resolve it:

1. unistall PowerDesigner ( it authenticate the asa9)
2. unistall ASA 9
3. Install ASA 9
4. Install PowerDesigner to other directory the component ASA.

Now i work so goooood.

Thanks,
